Patient Track EAU21

The 2021 Annual EAU Congress in Milan will see the premiere of the EAU Patient Track. For the past three years, patient involvement in the annual congress was limited to a Patient Information Session. This will be changing!

Patient Information Sessions

EAU21 will offer four separate 1.5 hour Patient Information sessions, bringing you the latest on quality of life issues, updates based on the 2021 EAU Guidelines and other topics of interest. All delegates with an interest in the patient perspective are welcome to join.

EAU Patient Advocacy Group Members such as the Association of Cancer Leagues (ECL), the European Cancer Patient Coalition (ECPC), Europa Uomo (EUomo), the Kidney Cancer Patient Coalition (IKCC) and the World Bladder Cancer Patient Coalition (WBCPC) were involved in the composition of the sessions. The detailed programmes of the Patient Information sessions on the following topics will be available soon:

  • Bladder Cancer
  • Kidney Cancer
  • Prostate Cancer
  • Life after cancer treatment

EAU Patient Poster Track

Patient advocates from across the globe are encouraged to actively participate and contribute to the annual EAU Congress in Milan, by submitting a poster abstract. The Patient Poster Track provides educational opportunities for patient advocates and HCPs to improve communications and to encourage and promote collaboration while changing perceptions on both sides.

The Patient Poster Track offers patient advocates an opportunity to share knowledge and insights into treatment and quality of life issues. Read more >

The Patient Poster Track is brought to you by the European Association of Urology (EAU) with programme development support from Pfizer. The editorial content of this page was written independently of the sponsor and is judged to be free of any conflict of interest.

Introduction to the ADT Educational Programme

The Androgen Deprivation Therapy (ADT) Educational Programme originated in Canada and has been specifically designed for prostate cancer patients who are about to start, or are already receiving,  this therapy. The purpose of the programme is to help prostate cancer patients manage and cope with the side effects from ADT.

We will be introducing the ADT programme during EAU21.

The programme will be presented at the Patient Information Prostate Cancer session mentioned above and at the EAUN meeting. Dates will follow shortly.

We thank Astellas Pharma Europe and Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals Inc. for an unrestricted educational grant to initiate the online ADT Educational Programme in Europe.

Patient Advocates Lounge

We would love to welcome you at the Patient Advocates Lounge, a space especially created for patient advocates, to relax in between sessions and to connect with peers. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and do not forget to check out the electronically accessible Patient Posters at the e-kiosk.

We look forward to connecting with you!

The Patient Advocates Lounge is located adjacent to the EAU Booth on the Exhibition Floor, Booth D64.
