Travelling by Public Transportation

Paris is well-connected through its public transport system which is safe, affordable, and reliable. There are various ways to get around: the metro, tram, RER, bus or taxi. Here is some travel advice on how to get to the congress venue (Paris Convention Centre) via public transportation.

Travelling from or to the Airport

There are two airports near Paris: Paris-Charles Des Gaulle and Paris-Orly.

Charles Des Gaulle
Roissy Bus to Paris – Opéra, metro line 8 towards Balard to Madeleine, metro line 12 towards Mairie d’Issy to Porte de Versailles – Parc des Expositions
RER B towards Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse to Cité Universitaire, tramway T3 towards Pont du Garigliano to Porte de Versailles – Parc des Expositions
A taxi will take approx. 50 minutes.

Orly
Orlyval to Antony, RER B towards Aéroport Charles de Gaulle to Cité Universitaire, tram T3 towards Pont du Garigliano to Porte de Versailles – Parc des Expositions
Orlybus to Denfert-Rochereau, RER B towards Aéroport Charles de Gaulle to Cité Universitaire, tram T3 towards Pont du Garigliano to Porte de Versailles – Parc des expositions
A taxi will take approx. 30 minutes.

Travelling by Metro / Subway to Porte de Versailles

The metro stop near the main entrance of EAU24 at the Paris Convention centre is Porte de Versailles (exit 1 to access Pavilion 7). Metro Line M12 (green) to Mairie d’Issey will take you from Pasteur to Porte de Versailles in just a couple of minutes.

EAU24 delegates can collect a Navigo Easy public transportation pass when they pick up their congress badge. The pass is pre-loaded for ten journeys on the bus, metro or regional trains. The pass gives access to the metro, the Region bus lines (except OrlyBus and RoissyBus), tramways, the Montmartre funicular and Regional train circulating in Central Paris. Airports connections are not included in the card. It is valid for ten years.

Planning your journey

For planning your trip on the Parisian public transport, you can download several apps with real-time travel information and the possibility to buy supplemental tickets or services.

Travelling by Taxi / Uber / Car

There are a lot of taxis in Paris and at every major metro station, there are taxi stands. The Porte de Versailles has taxi ranks laid out to facilitate the arrival and departure of visitors.

Taxis authorized to operate at Charles de Gaule airport and Orly airports are regulated. The Paris airport taxi ride from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport will cost around €75-90 and it will take approximately 36 minutes to reach your destination. The Paris airport taxi ride from Paris Orly Airport will cost around €26-32 and it will take approximately 14 minutes to reach your destination. Always ask in advance if payment by credit card is possible!

Parking is available at the Porte de Versailles at Public Parking P6:

  • P6: Access Place des Insurgés de Varsovie, 75015 Paris

All car parks at the exhibition center have spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility. These places are positioned near the lifts and pedestrian exits.
