EAU27: The scientific programme is live – are you ready?

Taking place in the vibrant city of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, from 19-22 March 2027, the EAU27 Congress provides the biggest platform for urology experts from around the world to share new research and innovative technologies, exchange ideas, critically review current practices and debate new approaches to improve patient care. 

The scientific programme includes key developments and challenges likely to shape urology in 2027 and beyond, with the plenary sessions addressing the field’s most important and debated questions and some expected high-level game changing sessions that will impact clinical practice as we know it today. 

Topics include the role of surgery in bladder cancer - progress or risk?, personalised management of urolithiasis, and the rapidly developing field of prostate cancer diagnosis, bringing together MRI, microultrasound, PSMA-PET and artificial intelligence (AI).

Other plenary session highlights include new standards of care and the future direction of bladder health, risk assessment across the prostate cancer spectrum, and the challenge of preserving sexual function in ageing men (from medical therapy to BPO surgery).

There is also a dedicated session addressing some of the challenging realities in everyday clinical practice. ‘Crisis in the OR: Acute management of complications in upper urinary tract surgery’ will review nightmare situations in the operating theatre. Finally, the last plenary session is on precision and personalised medicine in urology, where experts will debate the critical question: can better targeting deliver better outcomes and better value? 

The programme will also feature a full day of live surgery, showcasing surgical innovation and expertise in real time.

• Abstract submission closes on 1 November 2026 (23:59 CET), so be sure to submit your important work before the cut-off. EAU27 is the platform to present work to an international audience and contribute to the future of urology. Abstract outcomes will be announced on 21 December 2026.
• The EAU Awards applications are also due on 1 November 2026 (23:59 CET). Every year, the EAU presents several prestigious awards to recognise and celebrate dedication and innovation in urological research and practice.
• Delegates and speakers can now register online to attend. The early-fee registration deadline is on 19 January 2027, and the regular-fee deadline is on 16 February 2027, so plan ahead to take advantage of reduced rates.
