How to maximise your EAU26 experience

The congress days can be a lot to take in, especially for first-time attendees, residents, and young urologists. But the congress can be fun, too. Those who have joined YUORDay or wandered through the EAU Square at the Annual EAU Congress know exactly why. These spaces offer engaging sessions, practical tips, and hands-on activities that help newcomers maximise their congress experience.

YUORDay is also every resident’s day

Gear up for the high-energy YUORDay26 sessions at the congress! Expect to boost what you know through nightmare cases, the exhilarating Guidelines Cup, opportunities for fellowships abroad, surgery tips and tricks, urology fundamentals, and more. Organised by the Young Urologists Office (YUO) and the European Society of Residents in Urology (ESRU), these sessions will comprise two parts and take place on Saturday, 14 March 2026. You can say that it will be twice the fun!

Chase the nightmares away

Ever wondered how residents tackled their most challenging, unforgettable cases? Discover their strategies and learn from real-life challenges during the Nightmare Session. This session turns “nightmares” into valuable learning experiences. Gain additional insight and perhaps share your own during the session.

Guidelines Cup: Are you game?

End YUORDay26 with a bang: the finale of the EAU Guidelines Cup, a competition to test who knows the EAU Guidelines the best.

Bear witness as the top contenders will compete on stage. The winners will receive free registration to any of the Talent Incubator Programmes of your choice (1st prize), an Apple Watch (2nd prize), and the 13th edition of Campbell-Walsh Urology (3rd prize). You, as an audience member, can also be eligible for prizes!

EAU Square is your space

Whether this is your first EAU Congress or one of many, the EAU Square is your space for learning, lively discussions, networking, and enjoying great coffee. In the EAU Square you will find the Historical Exhibition, the riveting UROlympics, and the Coffee Corner for a free cup of coffee served by our baristas. But what is new in the EAU Square this year?

You in a simulation
As a participant, you will be assigned to one of two simulation-based activities: a simulated operating room session or a computer-based virtual patient interaction. Both formats are designed to enhance non-technical skills, including communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making.
