A reboot for EAU25: Introducing the EAU Square

The EAU has redesigned its own presence in the EAU25 Exhibition, creating a dynamic and interactive area where members and non-members alike can meet up, be informed on the latest projects and ask any questions they might have about EAU membership. Visitors can experience the EAU showcasing its most important initiatives in an interactive and fun way.

The EAU has grown over the last few years, with new offices and projects with a direct impact on patient care and urological practice in Europe. For instance, the Guidelines Office has launched the

UroEvidenceHub, bringing the power of real-world evidence to the urologist’s armamentarium. In order to best showcase these projects and get congress participants involved, this new EAU Square offers an interactive setting that will take (potential) members through our activities, projects and our very identity.

We want to show what we can offer to urologists at any level of their career, and what better way than getting hands on and meeting the people who are working most closely with these innovative new initiatives? Would you like to know more about how we influence policy in Brussels? Or how to contribute to our projects working groups? Come and meet the experts in an informal setting.

Come by, drink a cup of coffee and explore the many activities and booths available at the EAU Square! Just some of the highlights:

  • The EAU Guidelines and UroEvidenceHub are joining forces, combining real-world evidence and clinical practice guidelines with the following activities:
    • Interactive “Challenge the Guidelines” Q&A. Two Guidelines panel chairs will come to the EAU Square for the session, which starts with a brief quiz and then a Q&A with the audience, where the Guidelines can be discussed and challenged.
      • Friday, 21 March 13:00-14:00 (MIBC and SRH)
      • Saturday, 22 March 12:30-13:30 (PCa and Infections)
      • Sunday, 23 March 11:00-12:00 (RCC and MLUTS)
    • Dynamic session focusing on the newly-developed empiric Clinical Decision Support (CDS) tool for prostate cancer. Attendees will engage with real-world scenarios through five patient cases, led by the Chair of the PCa Guidelines panel, Prof. Philip Cornford.
      • Friday, 21 March 14:30-15:30
      • Saturday, 22 March 14:00-15:00
      • Sunday, 23 March 13:00-14:00
  • The European School of Urology is hosting a literal hands-on activity: challenge your surgical skills with the return of the popular UROlympics! Face off against your colleagues in this test of laparoscopic dexterity. Prizes to be won for the best three participants.
  • The Policy Office will have two activities in the EAU Square, representing two of its major projects:
    • The Urge to Act Interactive Wall of Ideas: Leave your suggestions for improving continence care in Europe. Ideas will be collected and discussed in the Urge-to-Act Thematic session on Sunday, 23 March at 15:30 in Pink Area N103.
    • A Praise-U “Guess the number” challenge, with sweets in a jar a symbolic visualisation of the number of prostate cancer patients. The winner will be announced during the Europe’s beating cancer plan session on Sunday, 23 March 13:30 in eURO Auditorium 1.
  • Check out the Historical Exhibition, the return of the annual mini-museum of artefacts from the urological past, now in a new transparent design. There will be a return of last year’s Scavenger Hunt challenge (fabulous prizes to be won), a chance to take an audio tour using your own phone, and guided tours at set times throughout the congress days.
  • The EAU Patient Office is launching its new ‘Shared Decision Module on Hormone Therapy for Prostate Cancer Patients’ at EAU25. Inform yourself on all the latest Patient-related projects at the Square and be sure to visit their very own, dedicated, Patient Plaza at C06!
  • If you’re suitably impressed by all of the above, you can find the self-service membership kiosk to explore membership options and sign up! If you prefer to talk to our friendly Membership department instead, you can always visit the EAU Membership desks! Ask any questions you might have about EAU membership, pay any outstanding dues or update your information. This is also where you can collect this year’s publications, like the 2025 Pocket Guidelines, the latest edition of De Historia and this year’s special gift book: Human Fertility and Infertility. New merchandise is on sale, and if you want to take a break from the bustle of the Exhibition floor, you can treat yourself to a free cup of coffee from our baristas!

The EAU Square can be found at G68 in the EAU25 Exhibition. If you want to make sure you don’t miss out on all of the activities, make sure you download the EAU App or visit our congress Website or social media channels to stay up to date. Further times to be communicated via our digital channels ahead of and during the congress!
